Over the years, I have developed expertise in a highly specialized area of concentration: financial advisors.
I have an understanding of all the issues you face from portfolio management to marketing to client service to practice management and more.
I gained this knowledge during my tenure as Seeking Alpha’s senior editor for financial advisor content and producer of its “SA for FAs” podcast, and in the preceding 18 years as editor-in-chief of Research Magazine, and as a regular daily contributor to the publication’s online home at ThinkAdvisor.com.
During that time, I twice received the Excellence in Financial Journalism Award (conferred by NYSSCPA) and many times participated as a speaker, panelist or moderator at industry conferences and online webinars.
Prior to my time at Research, I was an international news reporter based in Washington, D.C.
Paradoxically, my perspective on financial advisors derives in part from the fact that I worked as a journalist (and not as an advisor). That position has afforded me the luxury of researching and learning about things that advisors simply lack the time to do under the constraints of your high-pressure jobs serving clients.
